Everyone at our practice is committed to providing you with the very best in pet healthcare. Our veterinary team bring a wealth of experience to the practice and have individually obtained high standards of professional qualification. Our team all attend regular training sessions to update their skills and ensure that your pet receives the best care at all times. Your pet’s welfare is our number 1 concern. We are always happy to give you advice and peace of mind, just ask us!
Adrian O'Shea MVB CertAVP(GSAS)MRCVS
I’m originally from Douglas and delighted to be back in Cork opening Passage West Veterinary Centre. Practicing as a vet now for nearly 14 years, I graduated from University College Dublin in 2000 with an honours degree in Veterinary Medicine.
After a period in mixed veterinary practice, I went on to develop and manage a large group of small animal veterinary practices in the United Kingdom.
My speciality as a surgeon is soft tissue and orthopaedics and I support a number of practices as a referral vet in these areas. I take pride in that in 2012 I became the first Irish veterinary surgeon to achieve an advanced postgraduate qualification from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Small Animal Surgery (Cert AVP GSAS).
Pets are family and mine includes 5 dogs – Lucy, an Alaskan Malamute; Belle, a West Highland Terrier; Ellie, a Collie Cross; Dennis, a Lhasa Apso; and Sophie, a very cute German Spitz puppy. To keep up with them all, I regularly run marathons!

Graduated from University of Wroclaw in Poland with a degree of Veterinary Medicine Bachelor in 2006. Since then I was gaining experience in Polish, German and Irish veterinary clinics. I am a cat person. I love diagnostic imaging cases and feline medicine is among my special intersts. I have a sorrel abyssinian cat name Dymek.

I have lived in Passage West all my life and I am absolutely delighted to be working in my community.
In 2012, I graduated from St. John’s Central College with a Higher Certificate in Veterinary Nursing & Animal science.
I have a little Chihuahua cross named Chi Chi and a Green Anole Lizard named Noel
Trish Cowman Practice Manager
From Australia, where I qualified as a veterinary nurse, I have managed practices in Australia and Ireland for the last 15 years. They included fledgling practices, university departments, established mixed practices and companion animal facilities.
I have also worked as a lecturing tutor in University College Dublin Veterinary Nursing Diploma. My area of expertise is in practice business systems and soft skills staff training.
